Reconnecting with Gauri Spratt
Aamir revealed that his connection with Gauri dates back 25 years, as they initially met long ago and rekindled their relationship through his cousin, Nuzhat Khan. The couple began dating over a year ago, and since then, their bond has grown stronger.
Making a playful reference to his iconic film Lagaan, Aamir quipped, “Bhuvan ko uski Gauri mil hi gayi (Bhuvan finally met his Gauri).” While Gauri isn’t an avid fan of Hindi films, she recently watched three of Aamir’s notable works: Dil Chahta Hai, Lagaan, and Dangal. Aamir expressed his eagerness for her to watch Taare Zameen Par, his directorial debut, to showcase yet another milestone of his career.
Gauri Spratt: Life and Background
Currently associated with Aamir Khan Productions, Gauri resides in Bengaluru. She has a unique multicultural background, being part-Irish and part-Tamil, and was previously married. She has a six-year-old son from her previous marriage.
Despite their one-year-long relationship being a secret, Aamir and Gauri openly describe themselves as “committed.” Reflecting on their success in maintaining privacy, Aamir joked, “Dekha kuch bhi pata nahi chalne diya maine tum logo ko (See, I did not let you get a wind of this).”

When questioned about marriage, Aamir admitted feeling “settled” with Gauri, adding lightheartedly, “I don’t know… at the age of 60, mujhe shaadi Shobha deti hai ki nahi (if it appears alright to get married).”
Aamir, who has been married twice before, reflected on his past relationships with both gratitude and respect. He was first married to Reena Dutta in 1986, and they share two children, Ira and Junaid. After their separation in 2002, Aamir married Kiran Rao in 2005. The couple, who split up in 2021, share a son named Azad.
Speaking warmly about his ex-wives, Aamir noted, “I’ve been fortunate to be in a strong relationship. Like, Reena and I spent 16 years together, and then Kiran and I spent 16 years together, and in many ways, we are still together. I’ve learned so much, and it’s been very enriching. With Gauri, I feel settled.”
